THE MORRIS ISLAND ECLIPSE TRIP, August 21, 2017
60.00 per adult/40.00 for kids 12 and under/under 2 no charge
Join us for a special trip to view a phenomenon that occurs once in a lifetime!
That’s right, we’ll be headed out to lovely Morris Island for an absolutely unobstructed view of the sky, so that we do not miss anything when the eclipse occurs!
There will be a 35m boat ride out to the island, and we’ll share some history about what you’re seeing as we head towards our destination. The island is historic in itself for being the site of the film “Glory”, a very well done depiction of a Civil War battle fought by the Massachusetts 54th Volunteers.
Once we arrive at the island, guests will disembark to find their best view for the cosmic event, which sources tell me occurs from 2:36 to 2:39pm in the Northwestern sky.
The trip is approximately 3 hours long, with an hour on the beach to watch the eclipse, pick up shells, sharks teeth and other beach treasures. We will have a nature guide along to help search and identify beach treasures.
This trip is BYOB and you are encouraged to bring a cooler with adult beverages if you like.
**Watching an eclipse with no eye protection can damage your sight! Please bring what you need to observe the event safely. Adventure Harbor Tours does not furnish eye protection for this event.**
This trip is limited to 50 guests, and is expected to fill up quickly.
Due to the timetable and scarcity of these type of cosmic events, the boat will sail immediately at 1:00pm, no exceptions! Please be on time so you don’t “miss the boat”.
In the event of imminent bad weather, this trip will be cancelled and refunds will be given.
